We hire good people

We don’t hire developers, per se—we hire people because we believe skills can be taught, but being a solid human being—well, you should have learned that by now. We like all those hipster things, from cold-brew coffee to craft beer, but we build our culture on our personalities.

What we’re looking for

  • Communication

We don’t care where in the world you work (literally). Because of that, communication is a non-negotiable. Phone, Google Hangouts, email, Slack, you name it, you should be clear and candid—and we’ll always vote yes to a good sense of humour.

  • Initiative

We know “self-starter” is a buzz word, but when you work remotely, it’s a necessity. We can’t hand-hold, so we lean on our players to figure sh*t out for themselves before peppering the team with questions.

  • Collaboration

We may work from different offices, but we still work together. We take pride in what we do and how we do it—independently and as a team—so, you’ve got to be able to check your ego and play nice with others.

Got the chops?

To apply, send us an email at [email protected] with the job title in your subject line, a few samples of your work, the part you played bringing them to life, and why you’d like to work at Gearbox. We look forward to it.

Speed is for websites, not for relationships

We take our client relationships seriously because we’re in this for the long haul. Email or call us to start the conversation and see if we’re the developers for you.
